Hello and welcome to Prancing Paws Freestyle Club of NJ, the only club in the State registered with the World Canine Freestyle Organization (WCFO).

Let us tell you a little about Canine Musical Freestyle

It is a relative newcomer to the world of dog sports, but an exciting one!  It combines obedience, agility and tricks with dance to create artistic routines as a team between you and your dog.  Unlike other dog sports, anyone can participate, regardless of age or physical condition. You can compete in freestyle, you can use it as an adjunct to therapy dog visits, you can do freestyle to get that all important exercise (in a fun way) for you and your dog or you can do it to impress friends and family.  The idea is to have fun and bond with your dog.

For more information about freestyle, please take a look at our Frequently Asked Questions page.  If you’d like to see freestyle routines, from beginner to advanced and everything in between, you can find them on our About Freestyle links page.

And now about our Club

We formed Prancing Paws Freestyle Club of NJ in 2011 when a group of us decided we wanted to take freestyle a step further.  As a club, we perform at exhibitions and give mini-lessons at events such as the Dog Walk for Cancer and the Pet Expo as well as performing in nursing homes and schools.

Our purpose is to share the joy of freestyle, educate people about training through the use of positive reinforcement, and to recruit new members to join us in growing the only club of its kind in the State.  In addition to our exhibitions, we are also preparing to compete as a group with the WCFO.  We provide you with more specifics on our About Us page.

If you’d like to know more about the club, discuss having us perform at your event, or where to take a canine musical freestyle class, please feel free to Contact Us.
